Siding Services

When thinking about new siding for your home, there are many choices and decisions to consider. You have to weigh the initial cost for each different product, its longevity, its ability to withstand our Midwest weather, and the ease of care and maintenance. We will help you understand the different types of siding products and help you determine which is best for you.

Fiber Cement Siding

Fiber cement siding is known for its durability, lower cost of maintenance, and complete protection from insects and rotting. Because this siding doesn't have overlapping seams, it's resistant to molds and mildews growing between the siding and walls lowering the risk of allergens and other health problems. With their modern designs, homeowners with fiber cement siding don't have to sacrifice the look of wood or shake that adds so much curb appeal.

One of the most popular brands of fiber cement siding is HardiPlank® from James Hardie and is a frequent choice for homeowners in Nebraska due to its wind and storm resistant properties. HardiPlank® siding comes in traditional lap horizontal, vertical siding, and vertical shake shingles.

Vinyl Siding

There are many benefits to vinyl siding. Vinyl siding is extremely durable and very easy to care for since it doesn't crack or sag. There's a vast availability of styles and colors. Vinyl typically costs less to purchase and install and can reduce your heating and cooling costs. We recommend CertainTeed or PlyGem Mastic® vinyl siding to our customers.

Types of Vinyl Siding

  • Horizontal or Clapboard Siding - Also called Traditional Lap Siding, comes in many styles and colors
  • Dutch Lap - Created to look like real wood and has a curve along the top that creates a heavy shadow line
  • Cedar Shake - Looks like real wood but without the maintenance or high cost
  • Vertical Siding - Also called Board and Batton siding is very popular, especially in gables
  • Half-Round Siding, often used as decorative accents

Our project managers are Vinyl Siding Institute certified installers.

Metal Siding

Steel siding has some significant advantages over fiber cement and wood. First, you never need to paint steel siding. It should last 30 or more years without fading and isn't damaged by the sun. Metal siding will never break down, crack, or chip, and typically has the longest warranty in the siding industry.

Wood Siding

Most every type of siding copies the textures and patterns of wood. The reason for this is wood has the classic and timeless look of a well-built and comfortable home. With wood siding, we recommend LP SmartSide with Diamond Kote® finish. The Diamond Kote is eco-responsible and has a pre-finish which lasts a very long time and requires little maintenance. Diamond Kote® can be installed at any time of the year and comes with a 30-year, no fade warranty.
